With more than 18 years of industry experience, RMS continues to pioneer new and innovative ways of managing the various aspects of a therapy practice.

Rehab Management Solutions is based in southeastern Wisconsin, conveniently located 30 minutes south of Milwaukee, Wis. and 60 minutes north of Chicago, Ill.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” This philosophy is reflected by the Founder & CEO of RMS - Larry Briand, a physical therapist in private practice since 1992.

Larry founded RMS in 2000. “Somewhere, someone, sometime gave him the gift of being in private practice and his goal is to give the gift to other physical therapists who choose to become private practice owners.”

“Our goal is to build a visionary company, a crown jewel in the industry, admired widely by its peers, built on core ideology and purpose.”

Larry holds a Masters Degree in both physical therapy and education; along with being a certified licensed athletic trainer. Larry has been a leader in private practice physical therapy for more than 25 years. Larry is very active in the profession, taking a proactive stance with industry issues and healthcare trends. He has presented on local, regional and national levels.

Larry believes patients will have direct access in their community to physical therapists in all environments. Physical therapists will be practitioners of choice and will hold all privileges of autonomous practice.

Larry is an ambassador showing how “good business practices can parallel good medicine.” Guided by passion and commitment, Larry feels that RMS along with partners, will render evidence-based services and improve quality of life for society. They’ll be able to provide care based on trust, respect, and a caring individual. Utilizing new technologies and methods, as well as all available research continues to make RMS, and partners, industry leaders. RMS actively promotes the growth of the physical therapy profession in the private sector.

Connie Ziccarelli is the Chief Operations Officer for Outpatient Private Practice Physical Therapy. She has more than 18 years of healthcare management experience specializing in the physical and occupational therapy disciplines. Connie specializes in reimbursement strategies that affect therapists in private practice. Her expertise ranges from CPT coding to documentation strategies and corporate compliance. 

She is a member of the APTA’s Private Practice Section Administrator’s Council and Liaison to the Private Practice Section Annual Program Work Group Committee. Connie also is a regular author and contributor to a variety of rehab publications, including PPS Impact. Her presentations have been conducted at the APTA PPS conferences, APTA LAMP summit and the PPS Administrators’ Task Force Roundtable Luncheons.

Connie enjoys working with people in all levels of an organization. Her passion for the practice management component of physical therapy has lead her to create and lead a team that provides physical therapists the peace of mind to practice their skills and enjoy the revenue of their work.

Kevin Svoboda, PT studied Biology and Psychology at UW-LaCrosse and then attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) in North Chicago, Ill. Kevin has been a provider of physical therapy and clinic mentoring throughout the United States, which has provided him with valuable insight into medical systems.

Kevin regularly teaches therapists nationally on areas of practice growth and clinical core competencies. An actively practicing physical therapist, he also maintains a productive relationship with RFUMS by providing guest lectures and serving as vice president of the RFUMS College of Health Professions Alumni Association. Kevin also is the Membership Chair of the APTA’s Occupational Health Special Interest Group.

Kevin has worked with RMS CEO and Founder Larry Briand, MS, PT, ATC since 1997. During this time, Kevin has gained experience in managing, opening and growing PT clinics and developing staff. Kevin is an asset to us all as he furthers his role in practice growth and development. Kevin maintains his Wisconsin and Illinois licenses in order to continue his involvement as a provider of patient care.

Catherine attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as well as Gateway Technical College with emphasis in business and marketing. Catherine specializes in insurance collections and patient financial solutions with over six years of experience. Catherine excels in managing all facets of the life cycle of a claim form scheduling to collections specializing in the federal funded program.


 

Jodi Woodward

Jodi graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. She has over six years experience specializing in medical billing, claims processing and the formatting and maintaining of our billing software. Jodi has been an integral part of all backroom operations from patient registration to claims resolution.

Steve Ziccarelli

Clinic Growth & Development Coordinator

 

Steve is a key player in growing and developing Therapists in their market by exploring ways to enhance their practice’s marketability, signage and overall exposure. With over 10+ years of experience as a project manager, Steve is a liaison between landlords, attorneys and contractors as he opens or expands practices. A graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Steve holds a degree in communication and has participated in multiple industry meetings and conventions through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Marie Rasmussen

Director of Human Resources & Risk Management

 


Marie has over 20 years of Medical Administration experience. Marie holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the National College of Business, Rapid City, SD. In addition to being part of the day-to-day administration team, Marie is the liaison for many aspects of the backroom including the FDC POP program, human resources and employee benefit plans.

Sarah has been with RMS since 2002. She brings with her over 10 years of customer service experience and a knowledge of office management. Sarah is the liaison to all Front Desk Coordinators to ensure their success in the growth and development of clinics.

Mark is a multi-faceted, multi-specialty integrated graphic designer with 5+ years experience in advertising & design (3 years with RMS), strategic/marketing consultation, graphic design, art direction, printing specialist and web design. A graduate of Carthage College with Bachelors in Studio Art and Communications with an emphasis in Digital Media, Mark has expert knowledge in Physical Therapy marketing strategies and trends.

Selena graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Memphis in 1999. She brings over four years experience in authorization and preliminary systems prior to joining RMS in March 2007.

Justin strives to promote RMS and its great story everyday. With experience in virtually every aspect of the media industry, Justin utilizes a variety of communication tools to convey the perfect message. Justin earned a degree in journalism, communication studies and economics from Northern Illinois University in 2009.

John has been in the financial field for over 35 years, 14 of them have been working with small to medium size SC Johnson subsidiaries. As a member of the RMS Finance Department, John oversees the financial management of RMS and provides advice to the owners and board members regarding the financial aspects of their business.

Bonnie is a Wisconsin native and attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. While there she majored in Accounting. Bonnie brings over 30 years of experience to RMS in all financial areas. She excels in financial analysis.

Attorney






John has been a part of the RMS Advisory Board, specializing in contract and lease negotiation for over six years. He is a Wisconsin native and a graduate of the University of Puget Sound.
