RMS Work Injury Program Initiative (WIPI)
Become a Specialty Clinic in the Treatment of the Injured Worker
Practices that specialize in the treatment of the injured worker are able to differentiate themselves from the competition and benefit from an increase in referrals and networking opportunities. RMS provides extensive training to clinics and providers who wish to create a culture of returning injured workers back to employment in a timely manner.
RMS offers an extensive work injury program to help you network with new referrals. With over 20+ years of experience, our proven operations and systems have helped many clinicians network with industrial sites for the first time, and have sharpened the skills of already advanced clinics. Offering courses nation-wide, we will tailor our program to meet the needs of your clinic and clinicians so you may implement the training into your practice immediately. Benefit from our 3 part Work Injury Program Initiative:
Part 1: A live two-day educational summit that acts as the backbone in becoming a clinic that specializes in the treatment of the injured worker. Topics covered during this educational workshop include: creating an environment that attracts the worker's compensation patient, how to manage the patient throughout his/her plan of care, what services and tests should be made during a patient's plan of care, identifying appropriate communication pathways, and discussing case studies supporting the program. In addition, receive training for Job Demands Analysis and Work Hardening/Work conditioning programs.
• All clinical and administrative staff and encouraged to join on Part 1 as creating a specialty clinic is a team approach.
• This 6.5 hour program is available for CEU credit nation-wide.
Part 2: Bi-monthly consultation and case study meetings held for 3-6 months following Part 1 of the program. Meetings are held via Skype or phone.
Part 3: Functional Test Training Train on-site at a local industry and become certified in functional testing including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Functional Progress Notes, and Functional Discharge Summaries
