Larry Briand, MS, PT, ATC Founder & CEO

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” This philosophy is reflected by the Founder & CEO of RMS - Larry Briand, a Physical Therapist in private practice since 1992.

Larry founded Rehab Management Solutions in 2000. “Somewhere, someone, sometime gave him the gift of being in private practice and his goal is to give the gift to other Physical Therapists who choose to become private practice owners.”

“Our goal is to build a visionary company, a crown jewel in the industry, admired widely by its peers, built on core ideology and purpose.”

Larry holds a Masters Degree in both physical therapy and education; along with being a certified licensed athletic trainer. Larry has been a leader in private practice physical therapy for greater than 25 years. Larry is very active in the profession, taking a proactive stance with industry issues and healthcare trends. He has presented on local, regional and national levels.

Larry believes patients will have direct access in their community to physical therapists in all environments. Physical therapists will be practitioners of choice and will hold all privileges of autonomous practice.

Larry is an ambassador showing how “good business practices can parallel good medicine.” Guided by passion and commitment, Larry feels that RMS along with partners, will render evidence-based services and improve quality of life for society. They’ll be able to provide care based on trust, respect, and a caring individual. Utilizing new technologies and methods, as well as all available research continues to make RMS, and partners, industry leaders. RMS actively promotes the growth of the physical therapy profession in the private sector.

Connie Ziccarelli

Connie Ziccarelli, COO/Managed Care Operations

Connie Ziccarelli has been the COO for Outpatient Private Practice Physical Therapy since 1995. Ms. Ziccarelli’s daily responsibilities for Rehab Management Solutions include leading all facets of the practice management operations, negotiating, and securing Managed Care contracts. She works with payers on a local, state and national level. She oversees the productivity of 70 non-clinical personnel.

Ms. Ziccarelli has been a non-clinician appointed to the APTA PPS Payer Relations committee. She is past-secretary to the PPS Administrators’ Task Force and a member of the PPS Administrator’s Council Leadership Team. She is the Councils’ liaison to the PPS Program Work Group Committee. She is a regular author and contributor to a variety of rehab publications including, PPS Impact and Briefings on Outpatient Rehab: Reimbursement & Regulations. Her presentations have been conducted at the APTA PPS conferences, APTA LAMP summit, and the PPS Administrators’ Task Force Roundtable Luncheons. She is currently featured as a guest expert speaking on Work Injury Programming audio conferences.

Connie enjoys working with people in all levels of an organization. Her passion for the practice management component of physical therapy has lead her to create and lead a team that provides Physical Therapists the peace of mind to practice their skill and enjoy the revenue of their work.

Kevin Svoboda

Kevin Svoboda, PT/National Clinic Growth & Development Director

Kevin Svoboda, PT, studied Biology and Psychology at UW-LaCrosse and then attended the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. Kevin has been a provider of physical therapy and clinic consulting throughout the United States which has provided him with invaluable insight into medical systems.

Kevin maintains a relationship with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science as a member of their admissions review committee for physical therapy student applicants, as a guest lecturer in the physical therapy program on ethical issues and as a consultant with the directors of the Clinical Education Committee for the University’s entire student body. Kevin is currently vice president of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science College of health Professions Alumni Association.

Kevin Svoboda, PT, has been working with RMS CEO and Founder Larry Briand, MS, PT, ATC since 1997. During this time, Kevin has gained experience in managing, opening and growing PT clinics and developing staff in Illinois. Kevin’s education and professional work background brings to RMS and our affiliate clinics a level of expertise that will truly help to advance the knowledge of information between the clinics and practice management.

Kevin is an asset to us all as he furthers his role in practice growth and development. Kevin maintains his Wisconsin and Illinois licenses in order to continue his involvement as a provider of patient care.  Kevin is also an active member in the APTA and PPS chapter.

Kevin’s free time finds him spending time with his family. Kevin enjoys an active lifestyle by kayaking, biking and playing volleyball.

John has been in the financial field for over 35 years, 14 of them have been working with small to medium size SC Johnson subsidiaries. As a member of the RMS Finance Department, John oversees the financial management of RMS and provides advice to the owners and board members regarding the financial aspects of their business.

Bonnie is a Wisconsin native and attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. While there she majored in Accounting. Bonnie brings over 30 years of experience to RMS in all financial areas. She excels in financial analysis.

Marie has over 20 years of Medical Administration experience. Marie holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the National College of Business, Rapid City, SD. In addition to being part of the day-to-day administration team, Marie is the liaison for many aspects of the backroom including the FDC POP program, human resources and employee benefit plans.

Catherine specializes in insurance collections and patient financial solutions with over six years of experience. Catherine excels in managing all facets of the life cycle of a claim form scheduling to collections specializing in the federal funded program.
